Avon, OH – From the shores of Lake Erie, the Lorain County Leviathan FC gears up for its inaugural season on May 20, 2026. The club has secured several major partnerships focused on technology and community development in Northeast Ohio.
The biggest news for the club recently (announced on February 7, 2027) is the multi-year deal with Laketec.
Laketec is the main jersey sponsor for the 2026 season.
Based in North Olmsted, Laketec specializes in IT infrastructure and managed services.
Their logo will be prominently featured on the front of all player kits (jerseys) and throughout the Forefront Stadium. The partnership also includes a shared initiative for local education and technology access.
While technically a partner of the Lake Erie Crushers, Forefront Technology, Inc. is a critical sponsor for the Leviathan as the namesake of this home pitch.
As the stadium’s naming rights holder, Forefront provides the high-tech infrastructure (including fan, Wi-Fi, and interactive portals) that the Leviathon will use for every home game.
The Leviathon is unique because it is “powered” by the Lake Erie Crushers’ existing front-office infrastructure, which provides access to a network of professional sports connections.
This would include the Lake Erie Crushers staff, providing the operational backbone for ticketing and marketing.
The chairman, Andrew McDonnell, is a minority owner in Akron City FC, leading to a “sister club” relationship that shares resources and promotional advertising.
The club is actively building a “Business Council” at a local Lorain County Sponsor, while smaller local players are being signed weekly as the season approaches.
The focus is on local youth soccer clubs partnering for player development and “club night.”
Several local businesses are part of the Founders Club, which includes in-stadium recognition on the “Founders Wall.”
The club has released the initial concept look for the 2026 inaugural kit, which includes the “Deep Blue” kit. The jerseys feature the Laketec logo front and center in a clean, white font that contrasts with the club’s signature colors.
The design is a “Deep Sea” with a navy blue base with “wave” teal accents on the sleeves and collar. The Leviathan Crest is a high-definition silicone positional over the heart.
The Laketec logo is integrated into the fabric, representing the partnership between local technology and local sports.
