Andy told us in an exclusive interview earlier this month that he never meant to gain followers or be in the limelight but his followers took to him and have a real connection with what he posts.
Andy who grew up in West Yorkshire in the United Kingdom has in the past organized peaceful protests, talking groups and his own website all to raise awareness about mental health and how to get the right help. Andy said “I’m one guy who knows what it’s like to feel alone and to have the door shut when I’ve asked for help, I’ve struggled most of my life, I don’t want this happening to anyone else”
Andy’s website is free to access and has a bundle of features for people to use free of charge. The website is simple to navigate and is also available again for free as an app.
Andy said “I love helping others, it gives me a purpose knowing others aren’t struggling alone, I’ve tried to add as much information and resources to my website as possible, I’ve even added games as a distraction and relaxing sounds to create a calming effect. It’s not perfect but as long as someone can find a number, another organization or find something that I’ve personally added like my story then hopefully it will give someone else a purpose to keep going.”
Poor mental health is becoming to be a very concerning problem not only among adults but children as well. Funding is scarce to keep many organizations going.
