INDIANAPOLIS, IN — After missing three weeks with a quad injury, Caitlin Clark made her anticipated return to the court for the Indiana Fever.

And in true fashion, Clark was on fire and never seemed to miss a beat, in helping the Fever hand the defending WNBA champion New York Liberty their first season loss.

Clark sustained a left quad strain during a game against the Liberty, where she was sidelined since May 24.

Clark returned with a vengeance and had a remarkable performance, in scoring 32 points (including seven 3-pointers), along with eight rebounds and nine assist, leading the Fever to a significant 102-88 victory.

Clark’s first half was particularly explosive, where she scored 25 points and hit six three-pointers, clearly showing no apparent rust from her time off.

Clark’s return met with considerable excitement, with the game drawing significant attention, and setting a franchise record.

Indiana’s win over the Liberty, fueled by Clark’s big night, could possibly be a turning point a team, and a growing league that needed her back.
