It has been a busy week for the NXT brand as they have announced the next NXT Takeover and the next WWE network special that both are happening in the fall.

First, with the NXT Takeover, it was announced late last week that the next NXT Takeover would be happening on November 19th, the night before WWE’s Survivor Series that is coming from Toronto, Canada. This is the second time since WWE started Survivor Series that they are doing the event from Canada. The last time Survivor Series was north of the border was in 1997 and had one of the most legendary WWE moments occur. It took place in the main event as Bret Hart who was the champion had a match against Shawn Michaels for the WWF World Heavyweight Championship. Shawn Michaels ended up putting Bret into the Sharpshooter, and Shawn won without Bret ever tapping out. This moment became known as the Montreal Screw job.

In regards to the NXT event itself, I am not expecting anything less than what they have done before. I am figuring we will see Ember Moon vs. Asuka for the NXT Woman’s Title. When I recapped NXT Takeover in Brooklyn, I said that I see Ember Moon got skyrocketed to the top. We are still two months away from the event, so it will be interesting to see who NXT puts on this card.

It was announced early tonight that NXT will be doing a network special from Japan before they go to New Zealand. This is going to be happening on December 4th. What will be interesting to see is if NXT just does rematches at that event or we will be getting new matches? I am expecting that both of these events will be done very well and compelling
