Cleveland seems to be winning at a lot of things today.
For the longest time, when people thought of the “Mistake By The Lake” one thought of rivers catching on fire and a depressed city in the Rust Belt. While Cleveland is still recovering from the long-gone steel industry, it has experienced a renaissance in urban development, health care, and tourism.
Make no mistake, Cleveland is no longer the longtime punchline of late night talk shows, and is instead a place to be.
What many may not now, is that it is also home to some of Hollywood’s most beautiful actresses and models such as Academy Award winner and Bedford-raised Halle Berry.
With that being said, could Cleveland-raised Faith Malinowski be the next one?
Born in the west central town of Pozan, Poland, Malinowski and her family settled in the southwest Cleveland suburb of Parma, home to a large and very prominent Polish community.
A true stunner at 5’8, the New York, Miami and Los Angeles-based Malinowski has modeled for big name brands such as Gap, Sephora and appeared in Cosmo. Also a trained actress, she is an alum of the prestigious Lee Straberg Theatre and Film Institute.
Below is my one on one with Faith as we talk modeling, acting and her love of all things Cleveland!

R.C. What brands have you modeled for? Which one do you enjoy modeling for the most?
F.M “Gap, Sephora, Cosmopolitan, Betsy Johnson and Ford to name a few… I can’t say I have a favorite. I’m humbled by every booking and enjoy each experience the fullest.”
R.C. Where has been your favorite place to shoot?
F.M. “Marseille, Southern France.”
R.C. What is the most exciting aspect of modeling?
F.M. “Traveling! I love to travel.”
R.C. With summer here, what are some of the fitness and workout trends that you have noticed?
F.M. “I don’t pay attention to the newest workout trends. I think it’s all hype…”
R.C. What can men and women do to get in better shape for the summer?
F.M. “Simply hiring a personal trainer. Every single person can benefit from working out with a trainer. Even just once a week… Whether you lack motivation, proper technique, or nutrition theycover it all!”
R.C. Within the industry, who is your inspiration?
F.M. “My mother. She was a successful model back in the 60’s-70s”
R.C. What first inspired you to go into modeling?
F.M. “Witnessing the success of my mother.”
R.C. Sports question: Who are your favorite teams and clubs?
R.C. What are your favorite cities to travel to?
F.M. “Los Angeles, Toronto, London and Tokyo.”
R.C. What advice would you give to women aspiring to get into the business?
F.M. “To have a thick skin… This is an industry where you receive a ton of rejection. It’s very easy to get discouraged. However, all it takes is ONE person to believe in your craft and jumpstart your career.”
