We are still a little bit over a month away from the NBA trade deadline on February 23rd and one player who has been rumored to be on the trade block recently said in an interview that he fully expects to be on the move at some point over the next month.

That player is Dallas Mavericks’ center Andrew Bogut, who recently sat down with with Australia’s Sky Sports Radio and said, “Thankfully I’m a free agent here so I only have a couple of months more here and then will most likely move on.” Bogut continued, “I don’t see myself hanging around with everything that’s going on. It will be an interesting six months.” He was also asked if he sees himself being moved prior to the February deadline, to which Bogut replied by saying, “You never know.”

It should be noted that Andrew Bogut has one year left on his deal and with his strong defensive play as of late, it seems that it will end up costing his future team a lot to send back to Dallas. Also, Bogut has not asked to be traded from the Mavericks after they picked him up after the Warriors decided to get rid of him after they signed Kevin Durant last off-season. At this point of his career, he is more of a rental player and is coming off the bench. It should be noted that this was all Bogut’s idea to come off the bench, as it gives Dirk Nowitzki more time on the court.

Overall, NBA fans are going to enjoy these next few weeks, as there are several big names who are being rumored to be on the move. It is possible, that depending on what moves are done over the next few weeks, the standings in both the Eastern and Western Conference could be changing.
