Anybody who’s collected trading cards has likely played the “need it, got it” game when sorting through a stack of cards. Entertainment Weekly released images from Star Wars: The Force Awakens that resemble classic Star Wars style trading cards from 1977.

When asked if there was any special significace to the card numbering, director J.J. Abrams simply replied, “Yes”. Abrams also said “I’m only sorry we couldn’t give everyone a stick of gum”.

Certainly Abrams and the producers of the movie don’t want to give too much away, but now that we’ve got these “cards”, I’m fairly certain many fans believe we are definitely in need of many more before The Force Awakens arrives in theaters Dec. 18th of next year
