A big piece of the casting puzzle appears to have fallen into place for Warner Bros. upcoming adaptation of DC Comics’ Suicide Squad. The role of Amanda Waller, the woman in charge of the amnesty seeking group of former super villains known as The Suicide Squad, appears to have been filled by Viola Davis.

According to Latino Review, if the filmmakers can find away to work around her schedule on the hit show How to Get Away With Murder, the role is hers to take. The early favorite to nab the role was Oprah Winfrey who, along with Davis and Octavia Spencer, was being sought to play the part.

Warner Bros. Studios already made their big casting reveal for the actual Squad members which include: Tom Hardy as Rick Flagg, Will Smith as Deadshot, Jared Leto as The Joker, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang, and Cara Delevingne as Enchantress.

There still isn’t any word on whether Jesse Eisneberg’s incarnation of Lex Luthor will be making an appearance in this film, but there is still time for such an announcement to be made if it is to happen.
