PITTSBURGH, PA — One-time teammates on the West Coast at the University of Southern California, former USC Trojan quarterbacks J.T. Daniels and Kedon Slovis now find themselves on opposite sides of one of college football’s nastiest feuds.

Daniels, a recent WVU transfer from the defending national champion Georgia Bulldogs, was a highly touted recruit out of Irvine, CA, who chose to play at USC. During his time under center, the 6’2 226-pounder completed 241-of-397 passes (60.7 %) passed for 2,887 yards, 15 touchdowns and 11 interceptions, before being benched for Slovis.

Slovis, a 6’3 215-pounder from Scottsdale, Arizona, much like Daniels, performed admirably for the Trojans in completing 652-of-953 passes (68.4 percent) for 7,574 yards, 58 touchdowns and 24 interceptions, before being usurped by former Oklahoma Sooners quarterback and Heisman Trophy candidate, Caleb Williams, causing him to transfer to Pitt.

So Daniels transferred from USC to Georgia, only to be replaced by current Bulldogs QB Steson Bennett, and Slovis transferred from USC to Pitt after being replaced by Williams.

Make sense?

With their showdown mere hours away in what will be a very loud and raucous Acrisure crowd in Pittsburgh, look for both Daniels and Slovis to show each other who the best USC quarterback should have been.

Fight On!
