Most of us know what a Ouija board is, and if we haven’t used one have at least seen one. There are those that see it as a powerful divining tool, but there are also those who think its a silly and harmless board game.
Regardless off a persons beliefs, it’s best not to meddle carelessly with something one doesn’t understand or believe in. As the character of Dr. John Marquay said in the movie The Haunting (1963), “a closed mind is the worst defense against the supernatural… if it happens to you, your liable to have that shut door in your mind ripped right off it’s hinges”.
A group of friends must come to grips with the mysterious yet brutal death of a friend, whose untimely end came whilst using a Ouija board. The group decide to use the board to contact their departed friend in order to find out exactly what happened.
However, when they reach out to the other side they unleash something that will cause them to face their deepest, innermost fears.
Ouija stars Olivia Cooke from the A&E series Bates Motel, and Douglas Smith. The supporting cast includes Ana Coto, Daren Kagasoff, Bianca Santos, Shelley Hennig, and horror veteran Lyn Shaye.
Will Ouija deliver a genuinely frightening to movie goers this weekend? You can break out your Ouija board and consult those in the spirit realm, or you can join the living and see it at your local theater starting October 24th. #ouijamovie
