After a revival in 2014, it seems Michael Keaton is Hollywood’s hottest actor, and has shown no signs of slowing down, thanks to reportedly signing on to star in the King Kong prequel, Skull Island.
The film, which will be directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts, is slated to hit theaters in March 2017. The two-year gap between 2015 and 2017 might be good for Keaton, as it might give him time catch his breath from a whirlwind of recent success.
The announcement of Keaton’s involvement in Skull Island continues a very impactful year for the actor. His starring role in the film Birdman is garnering the actor serious Oscar buzz. Keaton was also featured in two other successful films in 2014, Need For Speed and Robocop.
In addition to a busy 2014, the rejuvenated Keaton will also have an eventful 2015. He has a voice-over role in the Despicable Me spinoff, Minions, and also stars alongside Rachel McAdams and Mark Ruffalo in Spotlight.
Michael Keaton is indeed back in the Hollywood picture, and Skull Island is truly the cherry on top for what has been a remarkable comeback.
