OAKLAND – On a rainy night in the East Bay, Oakland Raiders (1-10) rookie quarterback Derek Carr helped the Silver and Black snap a 16-game losing streak, 24-20, over their longtime bitter rival Kansas City Chiefs(7-4)

Carr, taken 36th overall out of Fresno State in the 2014 NFL Draft, helped engineer the Oakland Raiders comeback with a nine-yard touchdown pass to James Jones with 1:42 remaining. Oakland’s defense would keep Alex Smith at bay to ensure their first win since defeating the Houston Texans.

For the game, Carr completed 18-of-35 passes for 174 yards and one touchdown.  Second-year running back, Latavius Murray rushed for two touchdowns of 10 and 90 yards helping give the Raiders an early 14-point lead.

Coming into Oakland on a five-game winning streak, Kansas City fell a half-game behind the division-leading Denver Broncos.
