According to media reports, the Cleveland Browns want to grant second interviews to Seahawks and Bills defensive coordinators, Dan Quinn and Mike Pettine.
Per NFL Network’s Ian Rappaport, Quinn is set to interview with the Browns sometime within the next week, depending on the outcome of Seattle’s NFC Championship Game against division rival, San Francisco.
Under Quinn—who replaced current Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Gus Bradley, the Seahawks had the top-ranked defense (273.6 yards per game allowed).
A advocate of the 4-3, Quinn would most likely change the Browns current 3-4 alignment back to a 4-3.
Pettine, 47, has been a NFL defensive coordinator for five season (one with Buffalo, and four with the New York Jets) a Rex Ryan disciple, Buffalo’s defense finished in the top ten. While using a 4-3 base defense in Buffalo, Pettine ran a 3-4 while in New York under Ryan.
