According to ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith, the New York Knicks and free-agent small forward Carmelo Anthony are finalizing a new five-year $129 million max-deal.
Anthony, 29, had serious interest from both the Chicago Bulls and Houston Rockets. Per reports, Anthony’s representatives have told both Chicago and Houston to move on. One of the most coveted free agents on NBA free agency, Anthony averaged career highs in points (27.4) and rebounds (8.1) in 77 games with the New York Knicks.
