In a move that was widely expected by many within NFL football circles, the Jacksonville Jaguars reportedly are going to sign former Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl MVP quarterback, Nick Foles, per Philly.com.
Foles, who famously caught a touchdown pass and threw for 373 yards and three passing touchdowns in a 41-33 upset win over the heavily-favored defending champion New England Patriots in Super Bowl LII, almost worked some more post-season magic for the Eagles in 2018.
In his five seasons in Philadelphia, which are split in two stints from 2012-14 and from 2017-18, the 30-year-old 6’6, 243-pounder out of Arizona compiled a 21-11 record in 32 starts, threw for 8,703 yards, 68 touchdowns and 33 interceptions.
With his pending arrival in Jacksonville, this also signals the likely end of Blake Bortles’ time with the Jaguars, who took for the former Oviedo, Florida native and Central Florida standout third overall in the 2014 NFL Draft.
