The Black Eyed Peas have song called Where is the Love which includes the lyrics “‘Cause people got me, got me questionin’ Where is the love” which is aptly suited for Philadelphia Flyers winger Jakub Voracek.

imageIn the month of February only one player has more points than Voracek and that is Sidney Crosby. Yesterday Voracek tallied his sixth goal of the month, in a 5-2 loss to the Florida Panthers. His last two-games before that was a hat-trick performance against the arch-rival Pittsburgh Penguins including the game winner and four-assist game against the New York Islanders on President’s Day.

When the Flyers win he is a big part of their success. In Philadelphia’s eight-wins he has tallied five-goals and nine-assists, leading his team with 14-points.

One would expect the media to talk about a player who was a high draft, seventh overall in the 2007 Entry Draft, but for some reason seems largely ignored by the media. The only mention the NHL is giving him was on Facebook along the lines of last night Voracek notched a hat trick, enter our hat trick challenge.

It’s about time Voracek gets his due, he was a solid player last year for the Flyers. He is a player that when he finds success so does his team. Wake up national media, there is more than just Crosby and Steven Stamkos in the league.
