Entertainment: Insurgent Continues The Lore Of The Divergent Series’ Dystopian World

“…most men and women will grow up to love their servitude and will never dream of revolution.”
― Aldous Huxley, Brave New World

Having fled to Amity, following the Dauntless raid on the Abegnation, Tris and Four are now fugitives, who are being relentlessly hunted by Jeanine Matthews and the Erudites. Tris and Four find themselves not only on the hunt for answers, but also for allies.  Plagued by the consequences of her past decisions, Tris will find herself facing insurmountable odds in her quest to unlock the secrets of the past and quite possibly the future, while also fighting to protect the ones she loves. As Mick Jagger once sang, “War, children, is just a shot away.”

Robert Schwentke directed this film based on Brian Duffield, Akiva Goldsman, and Mark Bomback’s adaptation of Veronica Roth’s novel. Shailene Woodley leads a cast that includes, Theo James, Octavia Spencer, Jai Courtney, Ray Stevenson, Zoë Kravitz, Miles Teller, Ansel Elgort, Maggie Q, Naomi Watts, and Kate Winslet.

Insurgent opens nationwide in theaters, starting Friday March 20th. Visit FANDANGO showtimes and tickets.
