According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter Tim Tebow will be signing with the Philadelphia Eagles.

He will compete for the backup job with Mark Sanchez and Matt Barkley to Sam Bradford after the trade of last years starting quarterback Nick Fowles earlier this year.

Tebow may be the perfect fit for the fast paced run and gun offense of Chip Kelly and the Eagles. A team that has had a major overhaul in talent in just the first two years since Kelly has taken over as coach.

Tebow was a Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback coming out of Florida, where he won two National championships while playing under current Ohio State coach Urban Meyer.

Tebow electrified the league in his first two years in Denver, leading the Broncos to a playoff win over the Pittsburgh Steelers in January 2012.

He fell out of favor in Denver when they acquired Peyton Manning, and was traded to the Jets shortly there after. He spent minimal time on the field with the Jets, and has been out of the league the last two seasons.

Tebow Mania begins again, this time in front of the toughest fans in the NFL.
