Las Vegas isn’t just for gambling and nightlife. Head over to the Circus Circus Adventuredome. There you will find one of the best roller coaster hidden gems in America, El Loco.
The S&S Worldwide creation, El Loco is one of my top coasters of all-time. I’m not exactly sure why I’m so in love with this coaster. It’s for good reason though. The El Loco style coaster, which is where the name came from, is one of the most popular rides in the world.
There are similar rides that use the El Loco model. The most famous is Mumbo Jumbo at Flamingo Land in the United Kingdom. It goes without saying that the El Loco coaster at the Adventuredome is the best of all the S&S creations.
What makes El Loco such a fun ride experience?
The 90-degree drop at the beginning of the ride has some serious floater airtime. That was something I didn’t expect from a tiny indoor coaster. Also, the two inversions on the ride, both dive loops, were sensational. The S&S style El Loco coasters are well known for their dive loops.
This was my first S&S El Loco coaster. I must say the coaster made a solid impression. However, I don’t know why more parks don’t feature these types of rides at their parks. It seemed as if ride operations were moving at a fast pace as well, meaning high volume parks could benefit from having this ride.
I wasn’t expecting much going into El Loco, in fact, I had almost skipped the Circus Circus Adventuredome altogether. Thankfully, I made the right decision. Above all, the coaster is well worth the price you pay to ride it.
I’d have to give El Loco a 9 out of 10. My only gripe was there could have been just a tad more moments of airtime, although, the coaster layout doesn’t really allow for that. In fact, the first drop and the two dive loops are absolutely fantastic. Thus, you’ll definitely love this coaster at the Circus Circus Adventuredome.
