It appears that six names have emerged as possibilities in the search to fill two important roster spots in the cast of 20th Century Fox’s, X-Men: Apocalypse. Three well-known young actresses and three relatively unknown young actors are being sought for the very high-profile roles.
According to TheWrap, Chloe Grace Moretz (Kick-Ass), Elle Fanning (Super 8), and Hailee Steinfeld (True Grit) are all being considered possible choices to appear in the role of a young Jean Grey.
Although representatives for the actresses have not been reached for comment, an inside source substantiates claims that both Moretz and Fanning have recently met with director Bryan Singer.
It should also be noted that Fanning may not even be looking to take on this particular role at present. Also, there could potentially be more names added to be considered for the part of Jean Grey.
Ben Hardy (EastEnders), Charlie Rowe (Red Band Society) and Timothee Chalamet (Interstellar) are the three young actors who are being considered to portray Scott “Cyclops” Summers. It appears that Singer is looking for a relatively new and less well-known actor to tackle this role.
The names of the players in contention for either of these, and any other open roles for that matter, can and likely will be changed up a bit. With shooting set for the spring it would be nice if a little casting confirmation began flowing our way soon.
Fox will be st to release X-Men: Apocalypse in theaters May 27th of 2016.
