In today’s digital age, the importance of robust digital security for businesses cannot be overstated. As cyber threats become increasingly sophisticated, companies, regardless of their size, find themselves in need of comprehensive security measures to protect their data and operations. Enter Brazilian IT entrepreneur Ricardo Becker, who is bringing over two decades of expertise in information technology to the U.S. market. With an illustrious career that has seen the development and implementation of groundbreaking security solutions, Becker is poised to launch an IT security consultancy that will serve U.S. small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). His firm aims to equip these businesses with advanced security systems, commonly seen in large companies, addressing a critical gap in the market where SMEs often struggle to implement effective security measures due to resource constraints.

Becker’s consultancy will focus on key areas critical to modern businesses: information security, privacy, IT disaster recovery, business continuity, and information technology management. These areas are especially pertinent given the current cybersecurity landscape. According to a report by Cybersecurity Ventures, cybercrime is expected to inflict damages totaling $6 trillion globally in 2021, a figure that is projected to grow to $10.5 trillion annually by 2025. This stark reality highlights the urgent need for businesses to bolster their digital defenses. Becker’s approach, which combines cutting-edge technology with strategic management practices, is designed to offer SMEs a comprehensive security strategy that not only protects against current threats but also anticipates and mitigates potential future vulnerabilities, building corporate resilience. By specializing in these crucial areas, Becker’s firm is not just offering a service; it’s providing a partnership for U.S. SMEs to navigate the complexities of the digital age securely and confidently.

Born in 1981 in Cuiabá, capital of Mato Grosso State, Brazil, Ricardo Saddi Becker’s journey into the IT world began at an early age. His passion for science, technology, and engineering was evident when he took his first computer course at just six years old. By the age of 12, he had already earned an official certification in Novell networks, and by 15, he was instructing and leading the computing department at a large school in Cuiabá. This early start laid a solid foundation for what would become a groundbreaking career in IT.

Ricardo’s professional career took off at CEMAT – Centrais Elétricas Matogrossenses, where, alongside his studies in Computer Science at the Federal University of Mato Grosso (UFMT), he developed numerous technological solutions and led a significant team in implementing online services across the company’s departments. His dedication and innovative approach led him to become the first professional in Mato Grosso to be certified by Microsoft as MCSA and MCT, milestones that catapulted him into a prominent position in the IT sector.

In 2003, Ricardo founded Becker Consultoria, a firm that grew exponentially under his technical and commercial leadership. His unique approach to hiring based on behavioral profiles and specific training cycles ensured the company’s rapid growth and success. The establishment of Becker Distribuidora further solidified his position in the IT world, earning recognition as the largest technology distributor in Central-West Brazil.

Becker’s relentless pursuit of excellence saw him obtain numerous certifications from the world’s leading technology companies and complete a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science. His focus then shifted towards the relationship between business and technology, leading to significant achievements such as obtaining the CBCP certification from DRII, Disaster Recovery Institute International, and the launch of Brothers In Privacy Consultoria, specializing in privacy and information security.

Throughout his career, Ricardo has been at the forefront of adapting to and implementing technological advancements, such as transitioning to remote work long before it became a necessity during the COVID-19 pandemic. His ability to anticipate and effectively respond to the changing needs of the IT landscape has not only benefited his clients but has also positioned his firms for sustained growth and success.

As Ricardo Becker prepares to expand his business to North America, his track record of innovation, strategic planning, and a deep understanding of the intricacies of IT security and management bodes well for U.S. SMEs. With a focus on building resilient and secure digital infrastructures, Becker’s consultancy is set to become a beacon of reliability and expertise in the American IT landscape, bridging the gap between advanced technology solutions and the businesses that need them the most.
