Earlier The Inscriber Magazine made the predictions for the AFC Wildcard, now it is time for the NFC.
No.4 Carolina Panthers vs No.5 Los Angeles Rams
The Rams have MVP candidate Matthew Stafford while the Panthers got help to win the NFC South and finished the season under .500. While Carolina did defeat Los Angeles on November 30th 31-28, the likelihood of a Los Angeles loss is slim to none.
Too many weapons on both sides of the football for the Rams.
Rams 27, Panthers 13
No.3 Philadelphia Eagles vs No.6 San Francisco 49ers
The 49ers need to wave the white flag. Too many injuries on defense, no pass rush, soft coverage, and poor tackling is not going to get it done against the Eagles. This game has zero chance of being close.
Eagles 31, 49ers 3
No.2 Chicago Bears vs No.7 Green Bay Packers
Two division rivals going at it in Chicago and of course wind is also a factor for tonight’s game. The Packers defense has not looked the same since Micah Parsons tore his ACL. So from the Bears expect a heavy dose of running backs D’Andre Swift and Kyle Monangai.
For the Packers, Jordan Love will play. Running back Josh Jacobs will play a pivotal role to keep the Bears defense honest.
This game for the NFC is arguably the best game during the entire Wildcard weekend for the NFL. Lots of eyes on it to see how Chicago’s quarterback Caleb Williams does. Will he silence his critics? Can Green Bay’s receivers make an impact?
These two teams went to overtime on December 20th with the Bears coming up with the victory, on December 7 it was the Packers winning by seven. Two close games, do not expect anything different. As mentioned before Parsons injury does change things for Green Bay. With that being said the game still likely close.
Bears 17, Packers 13
