It’s never easy to move on from a broken relationship. Broken heart, lost trust and so much pain to deal with. Are you going through a similar phase? Are you feeling lost and struggling to find yourself after a recent heartbreak. Then you’re in the right place. Read on and let us help you mend that broken heart.

Time is the best healer

You’ve probably heard this quite a few times from people and it is absolutely true. One of the first things to remind yourself after a broken heart is that time fixes everything. Don’t be too hard on yourself thinking you’re not worthy of love or not good enough. Let some time pass, let yourself feel every emotional strongly, even negative ones and you’ll soon see the pain fading away.  Sometimes it hurts more to keep holding on, so you need to try and let go of the painful things.

Focus on your goals and dreams

Channel  your energy on achieving your goals and dreams. Take up a new hobby or go back to an old one, learn a new skill, new language, try out adventure sports. Find about what you want your life to be in the next 2 years and start working towards it. Use the pain to motivate you to be the best version of yourself.

Nature to the rescue

There’s no therapy better than nature. This is the time to step out and travel. Go for some nature-related activities like hiking, trekking, swimming, etc. Nature can make you fall in love with it almost instantly. Heartbroken people often tend to lock themselves up in a room to cry. Cry in nature instead, yell, shout and you’ll see the hurt, the pain leaving your body. You’ll be free and one with nature as it helps you get over this broken relationship.

Connect more with friends

Remember those friends you pushed away for your partner? Well now is the time to connect with them. Spending more time with friends and even family who love and support you makes it easier to fill that void in life which was created after the relationship broke. Often times when a long term relationship ends, there’s an empty space and everything seems meaningless. It is at such times that one needs more support, acceptance and love from close ones to feel connected and strong again.

Practice self care

Dedicate time to yourself by eating well, getting enough sleep, and staying physically active. They might have  stopped you, but you need to keep loving yourself. Self care is extremely important on rebuilding physical and emotional energy. Give yourself positive affirmations everyday to believe and manifest that you’re worthy and deserving of so much more.

Find pleasure elsewhere

Some say that the best way to get over someone is to get under someone else. Now we don’t know if that holds any truth, but hey, it’s worth a shot. Romance might have left your life for now, but you can definitely get the spice back. You can try out casual dating, one night stands for fun or high class escorts and companionship might be a good idea to introduce some change and fun in your life.

Over the time accepting the situation, creating a new life, a new you and fulfilling your personal dreams can definitely help you move on in a more healthy way. With friends and family by your side, always remember, that you are going to get through this because its just a phase. Also consider therapy and professional help if and when you think it is needed.
