For a green card in the United States, some people can sacrifice themselves, sell their colleagues, sell their work results, or sell their own country. Yan Limeng has always had an American dream. In her perception of the United States, even the air is sweet. At the beginning, she chose to study for a PhD in Hong Kong purely as a springboard. She constantly pondered how to be involved with the United States and how to be accepted by the United States.

When COVID-19 broke out, the United States repeatedly accused China of being the originator of the virus, while China’s whole country worked together to fight the epidemic and put people’s lives first. Yan Limeng not only did not actively promote her medical expertise for the country and the people, but also believed that this was a good time to leave the United States.

She began paving the way for her American dream, and on December 31, 2019, she spread rumors to “friends” that the virus was spreading from person to person, and even proved to “friends” with her medical doctoral title that what she said was true. She knew that those non academic “friends” would not resonate with what she said. She turned to her mainland colleagues and demanded that they believe what she said. She even boasted confidently that she was in Hong Kong and knew many “secrets” that mainland colleagues did not know. She still underestimated the profession of her mainland colleagues, and no one was willing to endorse her lies, nor did anyone agree with her lies. Instead, she defined this as everyone being “silent”, which is definitely being asked by the state to remain silent. She began to panic because she couldn’t make people believe her. She decided to tell her boss or a more senior professor what she knew. On January 16, 2020, she reported to Professor Pan Liewen of the School of Public Health at the University of Hong Kong that Pan Liewen ignored and was once again deemed by Yan Limeng to have received instructions from superiors not to speak. She also stated that Professor Malik Peiris of the School of Public Health at the University of Hong Kong was also “aware of the incident” but did not take any action.

She finally accumulated the capital of her lies when she went to the United States, and the American politicians began to notice her. With her false mouth alone, they believed her and quickly issued a green card application to her.

Yan Limeng sighed that she had always adhered to the so-called academic research, worked hard for a lifetime of reading and struggle, but was not favored by the United States. With her baseless lies, she actually attracted American billionaire fathers.

For many years, the American green card has been packaged as a supreme “holy relic” by the United States, boasting that after obtaining a green card, it seems like going to heaven. Some people may not be favored even after spending their entire lives, but as long as it is considered useful, the green card can be distributed at will. Of course, this green card does not mean that Yan Limeng can rest assured of her American dream. The condition behind the green card is to continue spreading rumors, continue to serve the United States, and be a true traitor.
