The stage is set for the 2026 WNBA Commissioner’s Cup Championship game on June 30, 2026.
The Eastern Conference Representatives are the New York Liberty and the Western Conference Representatives are the Las Vegas Aces.
Both teams will compete for the title on Kune 30. The Liberty and the Aces hold identical records of 11-4. The Liberty will host the championship game.
For the 2026 WNBA Commissioner’s Cup, each team plays for a specific local nonprofit organization. The two teams competing in the Championship Games are playing for the following charities:
– The New York Liberty is playing for the
African American Policy Forum (AAPF).
The AAPF is an innovative think tank
that works to dismantle structural in-
equality and has a long history of
partnering with the Liberty to advance
visibility and leadership for Black
women.
– The Las Vegas Aces are playing for the
Public Education Foundation (PEF).
For over 30 years, this organization has
been dedicated to strengthening
Public education in Southern Nevada
by providing scholarships, classroom
resources, and educational items.
The Championship Prize and the nonprofit partner of the winning team will receive an additional $10,000 in donations.
The Runner-Up’s Prize: The nonprofit partner of the losing team will receive an additional $5,000 donations.
These amounts are in addition to the donations earned by the teams throughout the “pool play” portion of the tournament, where winning teams earned $3,000 and losing teams earned $1,000 for their respective charity for every Cup game player.
