The USA Basketball Women’s National Team is the most decorated program in international basketball history, managed by Kara Lawson. Team USA is hunting for its fifth consecutive-and 12th overall-FIBA World Cup gold medal.
2026 FIBA Women’s World Cup Roster has been chosen.
The 12-player roster features a mix of Veteran gold-medaled leadership and high-profile rising stars making their major international tournament debuts:
● Aliyah Boston (Indiana Fever)
● Paige Bueckers (Dallas Wings)
● Caitlin Clark (Indiana Fever)
● Napheesa Collier (Minneapolis Lynx)
● Chelsea Gray (Las Vegas Aces)
● Rhyne Howard (Atlanta Dream)
● Kelsey Plum (Phoenix Mercury)
● Angel Reese (Atlanta Dream)
● Breanna Stewart (New York Liberty)
● A’ja Wilson (Las Vegas Aces)
● Jackie Young (Las Vegas Aces)
The 2026 FIBA Women’s World Cup will take place from September 4 to 13, 2026, in Berlin, Germany.
“The U.S. is one of 16 teams set to participate in the FIBA World Cup; they will open group play on Sept. 4, against China, followed by a game against Italy on Sept.6 and Czechia on Sept. 7.”
The remaining teams are split into three groups. The top team in each of the four groups will advance to the quarter-finals, to be held on September 10, while the other eight advancing nations will move to the play-in round on September 8 and 9.
The WNBA will be on break from Aug. 31st through Sept. 10.
