In between shopping for holiday gifts for friends and family, it is hard to count calories, maintain that daily workout routine and check in with some of the hottest fitness models on Instagram for motivation and workout tips.
With fitness and modeling becoming more global and everyone getting into it now, fitness modeling on social media is here to stay, whether you like it or not.
But if you are in need of some fitness motivation and looking for a way to get ripped and sculpted, look no further than 27-year-old British bird in Charlotte Jones.
Jones, a lovely 5’6 blue-eyed lass from the quaint market town of Kendal, located just south of Manchester in northwestern England, is known for it’s trademark grey limestone, thus giving it the moniker, Auld Grey Town.
Below is my Q and A with Charlotte as we talk the meaning of Glamour Girl, the emergence of Insta-modeling, workout playlists and what makes her feel sexy.

What does “Glamour Girl” mean to you, and why is it so important? Glamour girl to me signifies empowerment to all women, I really think that at this day in age its so important to feel empowered and to feel comfortable in ourselves.
Define “glamour” and why it’s so sexy and stylish in modeling? Glamour is a quality we all have inside us it is what we find attracts us to other people. Glamour comes from a confidence that forces it way out. I think glamour is timeless in the modelling industry and will continue to play a huge part in all aspects of future culture.
What does being a Fitness model mean to you? Being a fitness model to me signifies strength, discipline and health. I think no matter what your age or history its never to late to better yourself.
How did you first get into it? I first got into the fitness modelling after my first competition. The world off competing and social media opened the doors to another world.
How long have you been doing it? I first got into the fitness industry when I was 21. At school I hated P.E which is funny when I think back as I hate missing gym sessions now! I decided to change my life after I was getting repeated infections in my lung.
I taught myself the basics and implemented them into my life day by day and before I knew it I was planning my first competition which I did in 2014, I absolutely loved it came away with a 3rd place trophy from the UKBFF and was ecstatic.
Thoughts on the growth of glamour models on Instagram? I think glamour models will continue to grow on social media, I think this is fantastic as it shows more women are feeling confident in showing their sass to the world.
What’s on your playlist, right now? Haha! my playlist is the most random mix of music ever! I have Aretha Franklin, Eminem, Little mix, Jay Z and Sam Smith. My favourite song currently is Beyonce EGO I always feel kick ass after listening to it.
What’s on your workout playlist music wise? I am well known for having 80’s pop music on I love having a sing along and making workouts fun.
Fave music? I really love a huge variety of music and depending what I am doing my music changes i like to cook to Sam Smith and Bruno Mars.
You look toned, fit and athletic–yet curvy, what is your workout routine? My workout routine is mainly weights. I will concentrate on my glutes at least twice a week doing a high rep session and 1 heavy session. I do a little cardio but look forward to adding some roller skating down at the beach into my programme when the sun comes back out.
What makes you feel sexy? I feel sexy when I am feeling good on the inside, oh and in the gym especially when I am feeling pumped training booty.
What would you say is your best feature? My best feature I would say is my eyes, they often catch peoples attention.
Thoughts on the growth of fitness, glamour and bikini modeling via Instagram and social media? I think fitness, glamour and bikini modelling will continue to grow via social media as its extremely accessible. I think its fantastic that people can express themselves via these platforms.
Pumpkin spice, Salted Caramel or Peppermint Mocha? Definitely a salted caramel, i went through a stage of having two caramel Costa’s a day, I managed to wean myself off.
With winter coming up, what fashion and fitness tips and trends do you have for looking good and staying in shape when the temperature drops? Winter is great for oversized jumpers, hats and boots! I am loving Mustard oversized jumpers with my velvet leggings and biker boots currently keeps me warm and the boots are edgy. Hats are my lifesaver in the winter months I can get away with messy hair!
My best fitness tip for the coming months is to stay active its so easy to miss that gym class as the nights draw in, get up early and get it done first thing in the morning come spring you will be thanking yourself as you get that body summer ready. Enjoy Christmas food but be mindful its not an excuse to eat as much as you can.
For all the guys looking to buy something nice and naughty for the ladies this holiday season, what do you recommend? Victoria’s Secret panties are a staple gift you can’t go wrong with them.
G-string, thong, frenchies or commando, which do you prefer? Thong every time even though I do go commando quite often!
What is THE one hot fashion item that you must have/or get this season? I am obsessed with Velvet this season its so feminine yet can be made to look quirky and edgy. It has been my must have!
Athleisure? Fashion or fitness fad? I love Athleisure and hope it sticks around as it means I look trendy most days even though I am on the way to workout. I believe its fashion and will pass no doubt it will be the in thing again in the future.
What is your workout and fitness secret to staying in shape? My best secret to staying in shape is consistency. A little bit of naughtiness as that keeps us fired up and last nut not least a plan, as the saying goes, fail to prepare, prepare to fail.
What advice would you give to women aspiring to get into modeling? My advice would be do your research, there is a lot of reputable companies out there but also a lot of scams. Be wise and always believe in yourself.
