The Frisco RoughRiders, Double-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers, took a 2-1 win over the San Antonio Missions Saturday night. Collin Wiles led the charge, tossing seven innings of fantastic baseball. Early run support aided his effort, and the RoughRiders were able to beat the league-leading Missions. Frisco improves to 47-59 for the season, still struggling to maintain a consistent rise in the Texas League standings.

Wiles turned in an incredible seven inning performance. He allowed three hits and just one run (earned) while walking one and striking out four. It was another notable outing for the young righty. He has been turning in more and more quality starts for the RoughRiders, making a splash within the Texas Rangers organization.

Reed Garret relieved Wiles, getting the hold in the matchup. He tossed one inning, allowing no hits and no runs. Ricardo Rodriguez earned his fourth save of the season, carrying out the final pitching duties for the RoughRiders. He threw one inning, striking out two and allowing no hits and no runs.

Andy Ibanez hit an RBI double in the first inning, getting the RoughRiders on the board early. Luke Tendler would send Ibanez home with an RBI single immediately afterward. The 2-0 lead was enough to keep Frisco ahead, and enough to allow Wiles to pitch with confidence.

Ibanez finished his night going 1-4, with his RBI double being the highlight. Tendler went 1-3, with the RBI single accounting for his only action. Isiah Kiner-Falefa doubled as well, finishing 2-5 in the outing. Michael O’Neill jumped in on the double action, hitting his own in a 2-3 performance.
