PITTSBURGH, PA – The Green Bay Packers defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers by a score of 35-25 in a highly anticipated Sunday Night Football match up that featured the return of legendary quarterback, Aaron Rodgers, to face his former team.

This game was the first time Aaron Rodgers (now with the Steelers) played against the Packers and his successor, Jordan Love.

In the first half of the game the Steelers took control early, with Aaron Rodgers leading them to a 16-7 halftime lead.

The Packers dominated the second half, outscoring the Steelers 28-9 to erase the nine-point deficit.

The Packers’ offense was on fire. Key performers included Jordan Love (Packers QB) outshined his former mentor, throwing for 360 yards and 3 touchdowns.  He had a near-flawless second half, completing a streak of 16 consecutive passes after the break.

Tucker Kraft (Packers TE) also had a huge night, especially fitting for “National Tight End day,” catching 7 passes for career-high 143 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Aaron Rodgers (Steelers QB) completed 24 of 36 passes for 219 yards and 2 touchdowns but the Steelers offense struggled to keep pace in the second half and saw their drives still too often.

The victory allowed the Packers to improve to 5-1-1 and remain on top in the NFC North, while the Steelers dropped to 4-3.

The Packers current quarterback, Jordan Love, proved his mettle by leading the comeback win over the former face of the franchise.
