Week 8 of the 2026 WNBA Season (games played July 2-12), the League named the following players of the week:
○ Kelsey Mitchell (Indiana Fever) earned the
Eastern Conference Player of the Week.
She earned the honor after an exceptional
week where she led the entire league in
scoring over four games; she averaged
28.0 points per game and scored 25+
points in every game. Which extended her
streak of 25+ points games to six,
which is the third-longest such streak
in WNBA history. Mitchell’s
performance helped the Fever secure
a 3-1 record during their road trip
(per fever.wnba.com).
○ Paige Bueckers (Dallas Wings) is the
Western Conference Player of the Week 8.
This is Bueckers’ first career Player of
the week honor. She played a pivotal
role in the Wings’ 5-0 stretch during
this time, averaging 23.6 points, 5.8
rebounds, and 7.4 assists per game.
Highlights included a season-high 34
point performance against the Toronto
Tempo and a double-double (22 points,
11 assists) in a victory over the
Chicago Sky.
