Week 5 players of the 2026 season (covering games played through mid-June), are Eastern Conference Caitlin Clark (Indiana Fever) and Western Conference A’ja Wilson (Las Vegas Aces).
Clark secured her first player of the week honor after leading the Fever to a perfect 3-0 week with victories over Washington, Chicago, and Connecticut.
Clark scored 76 points (the highest in the East over the stretch), 20 assists, and 13 rebounds.
Clark’s Highlights match scored 32 points and dished out 10 assists in an exciting 114-106 overtime win against the Chicago Sky.
History was made in her final game of the weekend: an 85-75 road win against the Sun marked her 10th career game with at least 25 points, 5 three-pointers, and 5 assists. She joins Diana Taurasi as the only players in WNBA history to hit those career milestones.
Western Conference A’ja Wilson (Las Vegas Aces) continues her dominance as MVP Caliber campaign, anchoring the Aces front court to secure the Western Conference honors for week 5.
Wilson’s elite two-way presence and scoring efficiency kept the Las Vegas Aces as one of the top seeds in the West, further solidifying what is shaping up to be a spectacular season-long MVP race.
Wilson has been the Western Conference Player of the Week 30 times in her career.
This is where she stands in league history:
• All-time Greatness – Wilson has 30 awards
They are the most in the Western
Conference history (surpassing Candace
Parker’s 26).
• WNBA History: She is currently 2nd on the
WNBAS all-time list for the Player of
the week’s awards, trailing only Tina
Charles.
She has consistently piled up these weekly honors since her rookie year in 2018, averaging roughly 4 to 6 Player of the Week awards per season during her Prime MVP career.
