ARLINGTON- The 2018 NFL Draft is tomorrow at 8 pm Eastern time. The Browns have a plethora of picks and will have the first overall selection. The Browns have no intention of trading down so it’s logical to throw that idea out the window. Cleveland is expected to take a quarterback with the first pick. Cleveland will take Baker Mayfield first.

Round One

1st overall pick: Baker Mayfield– Quarterback, Oklahoma- The Browns are discussing taking Mayfield or Wyoming’s Josh Allen. Mayfield has the arm strength, quick release, and mobility to succeed right away. He will still be Tyrod Taylor’s backup but that will work just fine.

4th overall pick: Bradley Chubb– Defensive End, North Carolina State- The Browns will take Chubb to pair up with Myles Garrett. He is the best overall player and will make quarterbacks shake in their shoes. All of the Saquon Barkely fans are going to cry or turn off the television.

Round Two

33rd overall pick: Jason Nateboom– Offensive Tackle- TCU- Cleveland should probably trade up to take Mike McGlinchey or Kolton Miller. However, the Browns decide to covet their draft picks and still take a valuable offensive tackle to take the place of Joe Thomas.

35th overall pick: Isaiah Oliver– Cornerback- Colorado- The Browns might be done with Jamar Taylor. Selecting Oliver to pair up with free agent acquisition TJ Carrie is logical.

64th overall pick. Harrison Phillips -Defensive Tackle- Stanford- The Browns have to replace Danny Shelton right away. This is a slight reach but Phillips has the big, thick frame that the Browns need. Phillips is a third round projection but the Browns need to get him while he’s still on the board.

The Browns do not have any third round picks

Round Four

114th overall pick. J’Mon Moore– Wide Receiver Missouri- Another taller receiver is what the Browns need. Having another 6-3 receiver to go with Josh Gordon is a very good idea. Moore can be an ideal number three receiver if he wins the job over Corey Coleman.

Round 5

150th overall pick. Deshon Elliott– Safety-Texas- The Browns need a safety with athletic ability. Elliott is the one they are looking for and will be a late round steal.

Round 6

175th overall pick. Zach Crabtree– Offensive Tackle- Oklahoma State- Cleveland needs depth at the offensive line. Crabtree could be a nice backup in case of an injury.

188th overall pick. Luke Falk– Quarterback- Washington State- Before everyone screams “don’t take two quarterbacks” it’s important to remember the Browns have to nail this position on the depth chart. If Falk is there, it’s smart to take a 6-4, 215 pound quarterback who gets the job done.

The Browns do not have any seventh round picks.
