Cheeseburger Pizza

Yes, you heard it right! Cheeseburger Pizza, a great recipe for pizza and burger lover, it combines two of your favorites into one. Next time if you can’t make a choice between pizza or burgers for dinner, go for the Cheeseburger Pizza, and you can enjoy both of them.

You can make this recipe more delicious by using the best cheese for burgers or pizza that is available at your place. I generally use American cheddar cheese or Mexican shredded cheese with any burger and pizza recipe.

This recipe is easy to make at home and add you get to add the topping of your choice.

Ingredients

For the Pizza Dough:

All-purpose flour                                          2 cup

Yeast                                                              ¼ oz.

Warm water                                                   2/3 cup

Sugar                                                             1 & 1/2 tsp

Salt                                                                 3/4 tsp

Oil                                                                   3 tsp

For the Pizza:

Egg                                                                 1 piece

Sesame seeds                                              1 tsp

Ground beef                                                 ½ lb.

Salt                                                                 1 tsp

Black pepper                                                 ½ tsp

Onion                                                             ½ cup

Mayo                                                              ¼ cup

Ketchup                                                         4 tsp

Hot sauce                                                      1 tsp

Shredded cheese                                        2 cups

Pickle chips                                                  ½ cup sliced dill

Mustard

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Preheat the oven at 428 F (220 c) and lightly grease a pizza pan and set aside.

For the Pizza Dough:

  • Take a large bowl and mix 1 cup flour, sugar, salt, and dissolved yeast. Add water and oil.

(Take warm water to dissolve the yeast, don’t use too hot water)

  • Knead until it’s properly blended. You can add the flour if the dough is too sticky.
  • Sprinkle the flour on the table and bring the dough out. knead the dough, until it’s smooth and elastic
  • Keep the dough in a large bowl and cover it. Let it rest for 30 mins. Press the dough to fit the size of the pizza pan.

For the Pizza:

  • Prepare the egg wash adding 1 tsp of water.
  • Brush dough with egg wash around the edges and sprinkle the sesame seed at the edges of the dough.
  • Sauté ground beef in a skillet for 3 to 4 minutes. Season with salt and pepper and add some onions, green pepper, and cook until meat is no longer pink (drain excess fat).
  • Make a mixture of mayo, ketchup, and hot sauce and whisk until smooth. Now, spread the mixture over the base of the dough.
  • Sprinkle the cooked ground beef and sprinkle the Mexican shredded cheese.
  • Now, drizzle the remaining ketchup over the pizza followed by the mustard. Add some dill pickle chips.

(Add dill pickles on a pizza may sound strange, but to my experience, it works great with the sauce and other ingredients)

  • Finally, bake the pizza for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the center of the pizza is bubbly and crust is golden brown.
  • Let the pizza cool for a min before slicing and Enjoy!

Quick tips

  • If you want to make the recipe easy, you can buy the pizza dough from the store.
  • Before baking pizza, pre-heat the oven for around 30 mins
  • If possible use live yeast
