Back in 2008, 10 Years was part of the Projekt Revolution tour.

The band has released nine studio albums and in 2025 released their most recent single. One of the most distinguishing features of 10 Years is the vocals of lead singer Jesse Hasek who has a voice that is unique and easily recognizable.

Now The Inscriber Magazine has put together the ultimate playlist for 10 Years which is also on Spotify.

No.1 “The Unknown”

From the album Violent Allies, lyrics include “How did we end up here, sifting through our own ashes? Our fires burned brighter, we were a beautiful disaster. Traveling at speeds, where we couldn’t see. Anything that passed us, but no one can survive. At the speed of life forever.”

No.2 “Heartshaped Box”

10 Years does a fantastic job covering Nirvana here.

No.3 “The River”

“Voices clashing causing a prophecy of noise. Crosses cracking, crumbling, fall into the void. Dare we know the halo’s hanging low. Waiting to choke every opposing throat. The river won’t tell us which way to go. Chaos of the lost. Filling that hole with our weight in gold.”

No.4 “Backlash”

“Drunk with power. Your final hour is, running out of sand. Hung by your self-righteous hands.”

No.5 “The Optimist”

This song features Conquer Divide. The lyrics are “I don’t want your cure, I don’t need your savior. To give me a sign of life underneath. I just need to know how to heal the hollow. To keep the optimist alive in me.”

No.6 “Novacaine”

10 years was reintroduced to fans thanks to Sirius XM Octane which heavily featured “Novacaine” when it was first released. “Analysed and diagnosed. Over exposed to the undertow. You’ll never know it’s coming. Oh oh, the numbing. So you meditate or medicate. To maintain with a getaway, but it’s coming. Oh yeah, the numbing.”

No.7 “The Shift”

We go from silence to sirens, without a space between. We are a violent virus, without a remedy. In a wild lust, we’ve opened up. A whole new world set to self-destruct. My innocence. Just seemed to be. Slipping, slipping, slipping away.”

No.8 “Miscellanea”

“We made our saving grace priced to sell. But when there’s hell to pay, who gets the bill? Now you’re in limbo, searching for a loophole. But you gave up the ghost long ago. You gave up the ghost long ago.”

No.9 “Losing My Religion”

One of the best covers of “Losing My Religion” thanks to Hasek’s vocals.

 No.10 “Cast It Out”

From the album Wasteland. “Touched with frustrated lips, love is like starting over. With every step engraving the problems of memories. Casted out, I’m watching your eyes. Casting out my visions of nine. Blacking out, casted out, I’m watching. Your eyes bleed dry.”

No.11 “Cut The Cord”

“You tried to find a perfect little paradise inside my warning signs (Ignore the warning signs). You died inside and never even noticed I flatlined your vital signs. Burn the bridges and break the ties that bind us to a broken life. I trusted you and lived the lie, cut the cord and kill the lights.”

No.12 “Say Goodbye”

“I know you said don’t cry. And we all see the light. But I deny the sun is setting in your eyes. I know you’re shining on. Brighter than the sun. But realize it’s time to say goodbye.”

No.13 “Dancing With The Dead”

“Blaze rage red is the color of youth (be careful what you do). Another dead, color bled, blue is new (be careful what you choose). Little white lies, trouble hides the truth (bury your excuse). Show me how you want it to end.”

No.14 “Blood Red Sky”

I am barely alive, barely alive. Slowly treading water. I am barely alive, barely alive.”

No.15 “Wasteland”

Change my attempt good intentions. Should I, could I? Here we are with your obsession. Should I, could I? Heave the silver hollow sliver. Piercing through another victim. Turn and tremble be judgmental. Ignorant to all the symbols. Blind the face with beauty paste. Eventually you’ll one day know.”

No.16 “So Long, Good-bye”

“So long, this is goodbye. May we meet again in another life. Like strangers passing by. May we see it clearly in a different light. Keep touching lies. Like a thief in the night. he sun will rise
And expose all the lies. So why deny that you and I. Live different lives. The rivers from your eyes. Can’t change my mind. So long, this is goodbye.”

No.17 “The Trench”

“21 grams might buy you in. A steady hand to play this game of chance. Don’t forget that in the end. The house always wins. Clouds crack, taking you back. To the pitch-black point of attack
Don’t close your eyes. We’ve all been here before. Following fantasy.  Let the madness begin, reality bends. Breaking consciousness. Crawling out of my skin, violence within. Has no consequence.”

No.18 “Ashes”

“Complicate, confuse, and change. Every conscious move we make. Constantly consuming days. Without a clue of what to do. Stumbling on this reckless youth. Trying to find some truth. Ashes to ashes. Dust into dust. Lay your memories. Out to rust.”

No.19 “Fix Me”

So lost for so long. To find to my way. I failed to follow. I’m out of place. Crossing lines. Small crimes. Taking back what is mine. I’m fine in the fire. I feed on the friction. I’m right where I should be. Don’t try and fix me.”

No.20 “Waiting”

“Here I am, alone again. Lost inside my own head. And I don’t know how to find my way out. So I hide all my darkness in the light. And it burns my eyes every time. I’ve been waiting for so long.
Nothing’s changing, I don’t know why. I was looking for a sign of life. In everyone else’s eyes.”

No.21 “Drug Of Choice”

“Reality scripted TV. Chasing fifteen minutes of fame. Fight over fuel. Violence in school. The youth are as confused as I am. Now what is your drug of choice? Pick your poison and enjoy.”

No.22 “Triggers and Tripwires”

“Oh, there’s no way to save a shred of the day. When it’s weathered and worn away nightly. We keep killing time in the blink of an eye. Trying to walk a straight line with a kaleidoscope eyes. As we’re flooding the brain till the levees break. With no memory we’re destined to repeat this injury.”

No.23 “Survivors?”

“Lost in the moonlight. You crash into my coast. I’m waiting for your high tide. To wash away my sore eyed soul. And are there any survivors, survivors?”

Can I survive burning lights, blinded by the bright side that I remember, I remember? We vanish into the air.

No.25 “Rise”

“With all eyes on the prize. The only ones that learn to fly. Have a chance to ever touch the sky (touch the sky). Come out of the darkness. Step into the light. There’s miles to climb to reach the other side. A spark in the moment. I’m bound to the blaze. Take a leap of faith a chance to elevate. Rise (rise) with the changing tide. Can’t stop the hands of time. Rise (rise) from the chains that bind. Break free from the paradigm.”

No.26 “Dying Youth”

“Reach in her world, sheltered from strife. Bearing the gifts, burdens of life. I’ve prayed to stay young, but soon will be expired. An age of innocence, long since gone. I can’t let you go. Slow down don’t leave.Dying days of my youth. Over take me. Those who are looking backwards, chose to live as statues. Frozen, fractured, youthful laughter, fades.”

No.27 “Dead In The Water”

No.28 “Beautiful”

One of the must listen songs by 10 Years.

“Visually you’re stimulating to my eyes. Your Cinderella syndrome’s full of lies. Your insecurities are concealed by your pride. Pretty soon your ego will kill what’s left inside. Just as beautiful as you are. It’s so pitiful what you are. You should have seen this coming all along. It’s so pitiful what you are. As beautiful as you are. You should have seen this coming all along.”

No.29 “Waking Up The Ghost”

“No mercy, no forgiveness. Condemn to my own hell. The voices calling out my name. Now I’m afraid that. I, I’m waking up the ghost. Not taking out the memories that were dead to me. Now, now I’m getting close. Closer to the enemy that’s inside of me.”

No.30 “Shoot It Out”

“You give them all you got and you give them a little more. And never even know what for. They feed and they suck until you’re unconscious. It’s never enough, they kill your subconscious. (I’m ready to die). Will you kill what’s left of me to stop the bleeding? Shoot it, shoot it out ’cause they want it, want it now, now.”

No.31 “Don’t Fight It”

“I wanna know after all these lessons learned. If there’s a road from these bridges that we burned. I need to know if you still want me. Want me to show how much I need you. Buried in the past so many moments I want back. Tomorrow doesn’t hold onto yesterday. If I fall back into you. Don’t fight it, don’t fight it. Show me what we’ve got to lose. Don’t hide it, don’t hide it.”
