The WNBA has announced the players for week 2 (game played from May 18 to May 24).  Two explosive guards took home the honors after an elite scoring clinic.

Eastern Conference:  Rhyne Howard (Atlanta Dream) picked up the fourth player of the week honor of her career after leading the Dream to a perfect 2-0 week with wins over Dallas and Phoenix.

• Rhyne stats were 23.0 PPG, 6.0 RPG,
   4.0 APG and 2.5 SPG.

• The “50-50-90” Masterclass:  Howard
    was practically untouchable  from an
    From an efficiency standpoint, shooting
    51.9% from the field, 53.3% from three,
    and 90.9% from the free-throw line
    over the two-game stretch.

• Highlights:  She dropped 25 points and
   8 assists against Dallas on May 22, then
   followed it up with 21 points and three-
   pointers against Phoenix on May 24.

Western Conference is Kelsey Plum (Las Vegas Aces) after teammate A’ja Wilson
claimed the week 1 honor, Kelsey Plum
kept the award in Las Vegas by taking home the Western Conference honors for week 2.

• The Engine:  Plum spear-headed the Aces
    high-octane offense helping them navi-
    gate a heavily packed road schedule.
    Her ability to break down defenses, knife
    through traffic, and heat up from beyond
    The arc kept Vegas steady.

• Impact:  Plum’s lethal playmaker and
   shifting on the perimeter helped the
   Aces correct their offensive efficiency
   following their opening weekend
   blowout loss, keeping Las Vegas
   firmly in the upper echelon of the
   Western Conference.
