Another match that was made official for Wrestlemania was AJ Styles vs. Shane McMahon. This match has been rumored to have been happening for a bit of time as WWE didn’t have an opponent for AJ Styles at Wrestlemania. However after watch Smackdown tonight, it got me thinking of something regarding AJ Styles. Might the WWE be using this story line to explain why AJ Styles heads over to RAW when the next WWE draft happens.

There have been rumors going around that the WWE is planning on some sort of Draft to occur in the Post- Wrestlemania time period. They have been saying that this draft will be a bit different from previous ones in the sense that the titles can not change brands. For example, if Baron Corbin is the Intercontinental champion after Wrestlemania, then he is not eligible to be drafted. In the case of AJ Styles, he doesn’t have a title and would be one of the ones who is eligible to switch brands. It was reported a while back that Vince McMahon wants AJ Styles on RAW and not on Smackdown, The story line that he is currently in with Shane McMahon, might just be what stems into him leaving Smackdown.

As far as who I see WWE sending to Smackdown from RAW, I could see guys like Roman Reigns, Rusev, or someone else being drafted to Smackdown. I have gone on record as saying that I am not a fan of the idea of doing another WWE draft, less than a year after the last one as you don’t get the ability to build continuity or stars. It will be interesting to see how this plays out heading into and out of Wrestlemania.

Wrestlemania 33 is on April 2,2017 from Orlando, Florida and can be seen on the WWE Network. The Inscriber Magazine will have all your latest information leading up to the event. So stay tune as we will be on the thrill ride to the grandest stage of the WWE.
