Back in September 2012, Linkin Park became the first rock band to hit one billion views on YouTube. More recently in July 2020, their music video for “In The End” surpassed the billion view mark as well.

With that being said Linkin Park arguably is one of the greatest bands of all-time regardless of genres.

One Linkin Park’s trademarks was collaborating with artists inside and outside their genre. From Aaron Lewis, Jay-Z, Busta Rhymes, and Kiiara to name a few. Overall the band released seven studio albums.

Take a look and a listen thanks to The Inscriber Magazine as it creates the ultimate Linkin Park playlist which is also found on Spotify.

No.1 “Bleed It Out”

Why not start out with one of the most energetic songs from Linkin Park? Noteworthy is the live version of this song offers an amazing drum solo by Rob Bourdon.

No.2 “Papercut”

The first song from Hybrid Theory makes the list. What makes the song is the whispering of Chester Bennington that goes “the face inside is right beneath the skin.”

No.3 “Heavy” featuring Kiiara

One of the more impressive things about the band did its best job not to settle for the same sound. Some fans did not appreciate the band as much past a certain album. Yet many fans remained loyal. One More Light was the last album Linkin Park released before Bennington’s tragic passing.

“Heavy” is definitely worth listening to, especially the lyrics and Kiaara adds another dimension with Chester.

No.4 “Given Up”

Another high energy song, what makes it even more impressive is the scream of Chester. No one did it better than him.

No.5 “Lost In The Echo”

Mike Shinoda holds his own with his rapping skills. One of the best lines of the song is “No, you can tell ’em all now, I don’t back up, I don’t back down, I don’t fold, and I don’t bow, I don’t roll over, don’t know how. I don’t care where my enemies are, can’t be stopped, all I know, go hard.”

No.6 “When They Come For Me

Another song that features Shinoda’s incredible skills. It’s when Bennington comes in with “Oh, when they come for me, come for me, I’ll be gone. Oh, when they come for me, come for me, I’ll be gone.”

That really makes the song.

No.7 “Numb/Encore” featuring Jay-Z

This is arguably the best song of Collision Course. The best part of the song is the “as fate would have it Jay’s status is at an all-time high, perfect time to say goodbye. When I come back like Jordan wearing the 4-5, it ain’t to play games with you, it’s to aim at you, probably maim you. If I owe you I’ll blow you to smithereens.”

No.8 “We Made It” Busta Rhymes featuring Linkin Park

Linkin Park was featured on the song with Rhymes and it did not disappoint. The opening piano intro is impressive, that alone makes the song.

No.9 “I’ll Be Gone”

The opening lyrics are tremendous which are “like shining oil, this night is dripping down. Stars are slipping down, glistening and I am trying not to think about what I’m leaving now. No deceiving now. It’s time you let me know, let me know.”

No.10 “Castle of Glass”

Bourdon’s intro is great to start the song off. Once again the intro lyrics are great “take me down to the river bend, take me down where the fighting ends. Wipe the poison off my skin, show me how to be whole again. Fly me up on a silver wing, past the black where sirens sing. Warm me up in a nova’s glow, and drop me down to the dream below.”

No.11 “Leave Out All The Rest”

Linkin Park’s best attribute were their lyrics. This one has always been up with the best. An example is this “when my time comes, forget the wrong that I’ve done. Help me leave behind some reasons to be missed, and don’t resent me, and when you’re feeling empty keep me in your memory, leave out all the rest, leave out all the rest.”

No.12 Sharp Edges

The One More Light album is underrated. “Sharp Edges” proves that.

No.13 “Until It’s Gone”

Another intro that is superb along with the lyrics. “A fire needs a place to burn, a breath to build a glow, I’ve heard it said a thousand times. But now I know. That you don’t know what you’ve got, oh you don’t know what you’ve got, No, you don’t know what you’ve got, until it’s gone.”

No.14 “The Catalyst”

When Chester comes in singing “And when I close my eyes tonight to symphonies of blinding light,” there is one description for it, perfection.

No.15 “Shadow Of The Day”

On the Minutes To Midnight album, Linkin Park featured the talent of the band a lot more. Guitarist Brad Delson has an excellent solo in this one.

No.16 “One More Light”

Quite possibly the saddest song Linkin Park created. The lyrics are powerful and it is also a reminder to reach out to those who are seemingly hurting.

No.17 “Runaway”

Chester’s powerful vocals are on display.

No.18 “Somewhere I Belong”

For many fans, Linkin Park was a lifesaver. Their lyrics hit right at home. For example “I want to heal, I want to feel like I’m close to something real. I want to find something I’ve wanted all along, somewhere I belong.”

No.19 “What I’ve Done”

Most people recognize this song from The Transformers Soundtrack. There is a great interview about it as well.

No. 20 “New Divide”

Another song that ended up on a Transformers Soundtrack. This one had a bit more experimentation when it comes to sound.

No. 21 “Valentine’s Day”

“I used to be my own protection, but not now. As my mind has lost its direction, somehow.”

No.22 “The Little Things Give You Away”

One of the more underrated songs of Linkin Park. Now some will not like, yet the song calls out a former president for their failure when Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans.

No.23 “Powerless”

A song about vulnerability. The lyrics start out with “you hid your skeletons when I had shown you mine, you woke the devil that I thought you’d left behind, I saw the evidence, the crimson soaking through, 10,000 promises, 10,00 ways to lose. And you held it all, but you were careless to let it fall, you held it all, and I was by your side, powerless.”

No.24 “By Myself”

Intro lyrics once again and Chester’s powerful screams. What more can a Linkin Park fan ask for?

No.25 “A Place For My Head”

Bennington’s scream plus Shinoda’s rapping, perfection.

No.26 “My December”

Hauntingly beautiful song, showcases the tremendous range of Chester. Also, know how great it is vocally when Josh Groban covers the song.

No.27 “Krwlng” featuring Aaron Lewis

ReAnimation took a bit time to get used to. Adding Lewis to Shinoda and Bennington, showed Linkin Park’s creative genius.

No.28 “Crawling”

One of the most recognizable songs from Linkin Park.

No.29 “One Step Closer”

Another one of Linkin Park’s most recognizable songs. Still the best part especially at one of their concerts is screaming “shut up when I’m talking to you, shut up.”

No.30 “Don’t Stay”

“I don’t need you anymore, don’t want to be ignored. I don’t need one more day of you wasting me away. I don’t need you anymore, I don’t want to be ignored. I don’t need one more day, of you wasting me away. (With no apologies).”

No.31 “Lying From You”

There’s Chester’s awesome scream of “me” and lyrics that go “I want to be pushed aside, so let me go. Let me take back my life, I rather be all alone, anywhere on my own cause I can say, the very worst part of you, the very worst part of you is, me.”

No.32 “Easier To Run”

The Inscriber Magazine already included “Easier To Run” when it comes to Linkin Park songs with the best lyrics. So obviously it is a must listen.

No.33 “Breaking The Habit”

Another one with outstanding lyrics.

No.34 “Numb”

Quite possibly the most popular song that Linkin Park put out. So obviously a must.

No.35 “In The End”

This song has already been mentioned. What else is there to say about the song?

No.36 “1Stp Klosr” featuring Jonathan Davis

Best part of the song is when “and pouring and pouring and pouring, and pouring” is sung.

No.37 “In Pieces”

Delson with the guitar solo makes this a must listen.

No.38 “Burning In The Skies”

An significantly underappreciated song of Linkin Park that showcases the singing ability of Chester.

No.39 “Iridescent”

Simply beautiful.

No.40 Rolling In The Deep

While not on the Spotify playlist, Linkin Park did a great job covering Adele.

No.41 Wish

Also, this song is not on the Spotify playlist. It’s another great cover this time of Nine Inch Nails and it is better than the original.
