CLEVELAND, OH — After two years of dating and becoming the NFL’s version of a modern power couple, Travis Kelce and pop star Taylor Seift officially announced their engagement on Instagram Tuesday afternoon.

Kelce, 35, a three-time Super Bowl champion tight end of the Kansas City Chiefs, and native of Cleveland Heights, Ohio proposed to the Philadelphia-area born global pop star, also 35, two weeks before the offical announcement made on both of their Instagrams, which single-handily brought both the entire sports and entertainment world to a complete stop.
Swift, widely recognized as the prominent pop star and global celebrity icon of her generation, recently appeared on both her new fiancé and soon-to-be brother-in-law, Jason’s popular podcast, “New Heights” a week before their announcement.
Move over, Russell Wilson and Ciara, David and Victoria Beckham and most recently Josh Allen and Hailey Stenfield, there is a new influential sports and entertainment power couple.
Travis and Taylor.
With rumors that the now-engaged lovebirds had been looking for a home in the far East Side suburbs of greater Cleveland, most notably Chagrin Falls, Pepper Pike and Hunting Valley, their recent engagement announcement now makes more sense, with many in football circles sensing that this could be Kelce’s last season in the NFL.
Seven months after walking off the Superdome turf in defeat at the hands of the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX, 42-20, now it appears that Kelce has a new purpose before he walks off the field for good.
Get one more ring, as he just put the most important one on the finger of the biggest global superstar baddie in the world, his fiancée, Taylor Swift.
A true love story indeed.
