10. Andy Dalton

Dalton took over for the injured Jameis Winston and never relinquished his job once he took over. He ended the season with 2,871 yards passing which was the most he has thrown for since 2019, 18 touchdowns and nine interceptions.

At this point his career though he is most likely going to get added for depth.

9. Sam Darnold

He became the starter late in the season after recovering from an ankle injury suffered in the preseason. Darnold surprisingly kept the Carolina Panthers in the playoff race even though running back Christian McCaffrey got tradede. He won four games in his six starts.

Overall he threw for 1,143 yards, seven touchdowns and three interceptions.

8. Teddy Bridgewater

In terms of quarterbacks at this point in Bridgewater’s career he has becomes a solid backup. He did start 14 games in 2021 with the Denver Broncos and won seven games, threw for 3,052 yards and 18 touchdowns to seven interceptions.

7. Baker Mayfield

It is truly surprising how far he has fallen since getting drafted no.1 overall by the Cleveland Browns in 2018. He did have an impressive comeback win for the Los Angeles Rams after being released by the Carolina Panthers.

6. Gardner Minshew

No matter where he signs, Minshew will become a fan favorite. He made a name for himself in his rookie season with the Jacksonville Jaguars, where he threw for 3,271 yards, 21 touchdowns and six interceptions.

Year two for him was not as good for him as the Jaguars won only one game in his eight starts, still he threw 16 touchdowns to only five interceptions. He has been the back-up quarterback to Jalen Hurts in Philadelphia for the past two seasons.

He did make two starts in 2022, throwing for over 270 yards in both games.

5. Daniel Jones

After struggling in his first three seasons, Jones though lacking receivers with the New York Giants was able to cut down on his turnover inducing plays.

Overall the Giants quarterback threw for a career-high 3,702 yards, 15 touchdowns to only five interceptions and ran for 708 yards and seven touchdowns. The probability of him re-signing with the team that drafted him went significantly up.

4. Jimmy Garoppolo

When healthy all he does is win, sometimes it is not pretty though. Still he was a big part of the San Francisco 49ers winning streak. His season ended after he suffered a foot injury. Garoppolo finished with 2,437 yards, 16 touchdowns and four interceptions.

For Garoppolo the most impressive aspect of his play once he took over the starting quarterback role from the injured Trey Lance. He limited most of the negative plays.

3. Tom Brady

Brady will not re-sign with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He still showed that he can throw the football yet struggled without a consistent running game and a less than stellar offensive line. He threw for 4,694 yards, 25 touchdowns and nine interceptions.

2. Geno Smith

A career resurgence for Smith earned him the Most Improved Player Award and Comeback Player of the Year Award. He certainly will get rewarded for his big year with the Seattle Seahawks.
