Muhammad Bilal is a Peshawar-based dental technologist who has turned his work into one of the most-followed dental brands in Pakistan, with more than 621,000 followers on TikTok and millions of likes. We spoke to him about how it all began.

How did your online journey start?

It started as a way to document my work. I’d post short clips of dental procedures and results, mostly to share knowledge. I didn’t plan for it to grow — but people responded to seeing real, honest results, and the page kept building from there.

What do you think made your content connect with so many people?

Honesty, mostly. People are nervous about dental treatment, and seeing real cases — real before-and-afters — takes some of that fear away. I never tried to make it look more glamorous than it is. I think that’s why the audience trusts it.

Which platform works best for you?

TikTok has been the biggest by far. Short visual content spreads fastest there. Instagram is better for detailed results and YouTube for longer explanations, but TikTok is the engine.

What’s the hardest part of creating content consistently?

Time, and quality. It’s easy to post once and get attention; it’s hard to keep producing good content while doing the actual work too. You have to stay disciplined and keep the standard high.

What’s your advice to someone who wants to build a following?

Have something real behind it. A following built on a genuine skill or profession lasts. A following built on nothing fades. Build the substance first.

Your message to your followers?

Thank you for the trust you’ve shown. Keep learning, keep your goals in front of you, and take care of your health and your smile along the way.
